Use of GPS on the Round Rotherham route, obtained in 1998, for two sections (the one on the right comes first).
There are three successive plots:
Waypoints derived from map - marked with letter number code (see listing)
3-digit numbers are GPS waypoints recorded on the day - close to most published waypoints
Lines are tracks, generally recording track points at 40 or 50 second intervals (I now prefer to set a specific interval, say 30 seconds, so that the separation between points indicates speed)
Routes (omitted for clarity) link the map-derived waypoints.
The accuracy here is about 100 m, but should be around 10 m now that SA has been switched off
